From the Listening Room

SUBO Records grew out of the listening culture at SUBO Listening Bar in Jakarta.

What started with a shared love of music and records slowly became something more. We spent years listening, discovering, exchanging records, and enjoying the simple experience of being together around music. Eventually, we wanted to bring that feeling beyond the listening room.

So we started SUBO Records, an independent vinyl label built around music we love and records we want to spend time with.

We take care in how each record is made, from the music and artwork to the pressing itself. But at the heart of it, our reason is quite simple: we want these records to be listened to.

Put a record on. Sit down. Listen.

That's where SUBO Records begins.
